Before launch: operator review required
These notices describe the current website. Business identity, privacy contact, retention procedures, and any commercial relationships must be confirmed by the operator before launch. Legal review is required; these notices are not a guarantee of compliance.
1. Not a university or admissions service
Online College Choices is an independent information website. We do not accept college applications, enroll students, award degrees, or determine admission or financial aid eligibility. “Find My College” lets you send your education interests and contact details to our team. Suggestions are filtered directory listings, not eligibility checks, school referrals, or placement and acceptance guarantees. Inquiry details are not automatically sent to universities.
2. Directory and accreditation disclosures
Listings are curated examples, not rankings or exhaustive comparisons. “Accreditation-minded guidance” means we encourage you to check accreditation, not that we certify a school or program. Verify institutional accreditation through the U.S. Department of Education or CHEA and program-specific requirements with the relevant licensing body. Online programs may still require in-person labs, clinical placements, or campus visits.
3. Advertising and commercial relationships
The current website configuration keeps college listing actions on our inquiry form and does not designate sponsored placements or affiliate-tracking links. This technical configuration does not establish whether the operator has commercial relationships. The operator must confirm any compensation, referral, lead-generation, or sponsorship arrangements before launch. If a material relationship exists, it must be disclosed clearly alongside the affected recommendation or link—not only on this page.
4. Costs, financial aid, and career outcomes
Tuition, fees, aid eligibility, transfer policies, and program availability are determined by each institution. Financial aid is not guaranteed. A degree does not guarantee employment, a salary level, professional licensure, or acceptance by another school or employer. Ask for total costs and verify career and licensing requirements before committing.
5. Marketing and consent
Browsing, filtering colleges, or submitting a privacy request does not authorize marketing calls, texts, or emails. The college inquiry form requires an unchecked-by-default confirmation requesting a response from Online College Choices by email or phone about that inquiry. It does not authorize automated marketing calls, texts, or contact from schools. No automated marketing delivery is configured. Additional marketing or third-party sharing requires appropriate separate disclosures and any necessary consent before use; withdrawal must be honored in the systems sending those communications.
6. Opt-out scope
Privacy Choices records an all-channel marketing opt-out for the details you provide. The site operator must review and apply it to any marketing lists or connected services. It cannot stop communications from schools or third parties you contacted independently; use their own opt-out methods as well. Necessary legal or request-related responses may still be permitted where applicable law allows.
